Casting for Possession Complete

POSSESSION starts shooting in about three weeks, the final cast is all set and the crew is almost filled out. It's going to be a great melting pot of locals and travelers on both the cast and crew sides. Filling out our key cast is:


Reid Meadows is an Atlanta-based actor and athlete who enjoys doing his own stunts. He also likes skate parks, drumming, mythology, and following his favorite YouTubers. This is his first supernatural thriller and he's very excited to be joining the cast and crew in North Carolina.

Matt Burke as BART

Matt Burke has been both acting and teaching professionally in theatre companies and universities across the country for the past 20 years.  Regional credits include King Henry in "Henry V" (Delaware Theatre Company), Uncle Louie in "Lost in Yonkers" (Alhambra Theatre; Jacksonville, FL), Toby in "Amy's View" (International City Theatre; Long Beach, CA), and several leading and supporting roles in 3 seasons with the Tony Award Winning Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. 

Locally he has appeared as George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life" and Sgt. Match in "What the Butler Saw" at NC Stage and as Banjo in "The Man who Came to Dinner" at the Parkway Playhouse; he has also served as both an acting and vocal coach at UNCA, Warren Wilson, AB Tech, the Montford Park Players and Reynolds High School.  

He has his BFA from Florida State University and his MFA from the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program respectively.  Mr. Burke appears as a Corporate Sponsor in "Jurassic World" and as Ken Talbot in the film "Identity Thief" starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman. He teaches and takes acting classes at the Screen Artists Co-op.

Mary McGahren as LIBBY

Mary McGahren is a born Yankee and the youngest of 4. She fell in love with literature, visual art, dance, music and theater early in life, playing her first role at age 5 as "Farmerette Brown," a role originally written for a boy. Mary pursued acting exclusively throughout grade and high school, acting, singing and dancing in community plays and musicals; during high school, she wrote and performed with an improv company, starred in her first paying role, and participated in theater competition.

She took a long break from acting to earn degrees in English and Graphic Design and to work abroad in the UK. Her return to acting came through the 48-Hour Film Festival in 2007 (her racy scene with an umbrella won the team "Best Choreography"), followed by the LaZoom Comedy Tour in 2009, the Asheville Fringe Festival in 2010, and another lead in a 48-Hour Film Festival in 2010. Mary has been studying screen acting for the past 3+ years at the Screen Artists Co-Op in Asheville, NC with her mentor, veteran film and television actor Jon Menick, where she now mentors other actors. 

She has worked on numerous independent and commercial projects over the last 3 years as an actor and voice artist, appearing all over social and print media as Sasha Cook in Adult Swim's 2014 award-winning viral hit, "Too Many Cooks;" she also can be seen in Discovery ID's upcoming season of "A Haunting" in a supporting role and in "Your Worst Nightmare" playing the lead in the season 2 premier, Denise Sam Cali. 

Damian Duke Domingue as KENT


Duke’s earliest appearances before a camera were in the late 1980s features The Man in the Moon and Steel Magnolias, filmed in his native Louisiana.

In 1992, after completing his post-graduate studies in Ethnomusicology, he relocated to his now-home in western North Carolina to join the acting company and year-round staff of Flat Rock Playhouse, the State Theatre. His 20-year tenure at the Playhouse saw him in 100 stage productions, totaling more than 3,850 performances in roles ranging from the King of Siam (The King and I), to artist Mark Rothko (Red), with a myriad of colorful characters in between.

His cannon of work off the stage includes numerous commercials and voiceovers, the English dubbing of Yojiro Takita’s Ashura, and 2013’s Shadows on the Wall with director Ben Carland. 

A professional auctioneer since 2012, Duke enjoys raising millions for non-profits through his particular brand of auctiontainment and his benefit fundraising venture, Duke Says Sold.
